| Kit Rae™ - Images from a hidden world of dreams and nightmares form this unique line of edged fantasy creations by artist Kit Rae™. Mr. Rae, who has been designing knives for over 17 years, has been engrossed in fantasy art all his life, with a background in illustration, painting, and sculpting. His designs have varying inspirations including Greek and Egyptian mythology, some strikingly beautiful, some wickedly haunting. They are very popular among serious fantasy knife and sword collectors and have appeared in numerous television shows and feature films. The Kit Rae line consists of edged knife and sword art, with some pieces defying conventional description. Each new piece is part of the tapestry that forms “The Tale of The Swords of the Ancients”, a fantasy story written by the artist, about the eternal struggle between good and evil. Each knife (items with KR numbers only) includes a new chapter printed on parchment. The Kit Rae special annual knife and periodic sword releases also include companion art prints of fantasy paintings by the artist, featuring the blades in scenes from his story. |

The Kit Rae line has become very popular among serious
fantasy knife and sword collectors. Many of Kit’s early designs
for United Cutlery and the KR line have appeared in numerous feature
films and television shows. Kit’s designs are also some of
the most imitated and copied designs in the knife/sword industry.
The authentic originals are marked on the blades with the Kit Rae
sword logo, a KR or UC number is marked on the back of each blade,
each includes a parchment certificate, and the packaging is clearly
marked with the Kit Rae logo and trademarks. If it is missing any
of these it is a fake.
Swords of the Ancients – A collection of ten fantasy swords, started in 1997, with accompanying art prints. Each is part of a tapestry that forms “The Tale of The Swords of the Ancients”, a fantasy story written by the artist about the eternal struggle between good and evil that tells the story behind each sword. Every sword includes a chapter of the tale on parchment. The entire tale is posted on this web site. Two new releases are planned each year. See the complete list below.
The Swords of the Ancients Collection In the beginning of things in ages past there were the Ancient
Ones, masters of flesh, fire, and steel, who forged the elements
of which the land was made. When men and beasts came into the
world the Ancient Ones purposed to have dominion over them, hence
they commanded that the Dark Elves create the "Swords of
the Ancients." They were forged of secret alloys and each
sword was bequeathed its own special power. The swords have been
used throughout the ages in the eternal struggle between good
and evil. |
